Andrea Ancer Leal, DNP, PMHNP-BC, LMSW, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and clinical social worker committed to supporting adults and professionals in the greater Seattle, Washington area. With over ten years of experience in mental health settings, Dr. Ancer Leal offers personalized care and collaborative treatment planning for patients struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, stress, personality disorders, sleep problems, disordered eating behaviors, loneliness, among many other conditions. Dr. Ancer Leal graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and is board-certified in her field. In addition to her medical expertise, Dr. Ancer Leal has a strong psychotherapeutic background, as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). She completed her program at the University of Houston and prior to becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, she worked as a professional therapist in various settings providing services to adolescents and adults through individual and group therapy. Some of her therapeutic techniques include using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) techniques, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. 

 

Her comprehensive education and multifaceted professional experience allow her to provide holistic mental health care, integrating both medication management and therapy approaches to psychiatric services.
