What is an emotional support animal (ESA)?

An emotional support animal (ESA) provides comfort, companionship, and therapeutic benefits to individuals with mental health conditions. Unlike service animals, ESAs do not require specialized training, but they are legally recognized under the Fair Housing Act (FHA) for housing accommodations.

What an ESA Can Help With:

  • Anxiety & Panic Disorders

  • Depression & Mood Disorders

  • PTSD & Trauma-Related Stress

  • ADHD & Emotional Dysregulation

  • Other qualifying mental health conditions

If your mental health is positively impacted by the presence of your ESA, an evaluation from a licensed psychiatric provider can determine your eligibility for an official ESA letter.
